Getting insurance, most likely not. They almost always have stipulations that do not cover pre existing conditions like diagnosed cancer. And it takes usually 6 months before the plan starts after you start your job. Try going through the government or a cancer organization before you pay for it yourself getting a job. yes. I wouldn't tell tham at the interview or anything and that is not something they are are able to ask legally. They can ask if you have any "conditions" that would prevent you from doing the job, though. As far as insurance...you can still get insurance through the company, but mostly they do not cover pre-existing conditions, so nothing for your already diagnosed cancer would be covered. Most states have laws that require company group insurance plans to take new employees without exam or concern for pre-existing conditions.
