getting a job. yes. Getting insurance, most likely not. They almost always have stipulations that do not cover pre existing conditions like diagnosed cancer. And it takes usually 6 months before the plan starts after you start your job. Try going through the government or a cancer organization before you pay for it yourself

As long as the cancer/treatment does not prevent you from performing the job, they cannot discriminate against you. I wouldn't tell tham at the interview or anything and that is not something they are are able to ask legally. They can ask if you have any "conditions" that would prevent you from doing the job, though. As far as insurance...you can still get insurance through the company, but mostly they do not cover pre-existing conditions, so nothing for your already diagnosed cancer would be covered.

I don't see why you cannot get a job. if you sickness prevent you from working then you should apply for disability.

If you are able to perform the job duties, you have a chance to get hired. Most states have laws that require company group insurance plans to take new employees without exam or concern for pre-existing conditions. Not always true if you are buying your own health insurance.
