I had a problem where I had a severe pain showing up in my lower left abdomen, that would get worse and worse each day. Then all of a sudden, the pain would go away and there would be a nasty bruise left over in the same place. I mean bad enough to where it looked like I had been shot by a bean bag gun at near point blank range.

So I went to the doctor, and he took a look inside with a camera. He found the problem was cysts that would fill up with blood. As they were filling up, they’d start pushing organs out of place and that was what was causing the pain. But then the cyst would pop and the blood would cause the bruise; but was no longer pressing on the organs and so the pain would stop.

He also found scar tissue from previous cysts. That was enough for my health insurance company to call it a pre-existing condition, and they dropped me.

I tried to sue, but couldn’t afford all the delays they kept putting up in court as well as the medical issues. Eventually it was dealt with, and I am now clear of any problem. But paying them very nearly destroyed my credit until my father gave me a loan that saved me. I was later able to pay him back.

Repeated attempts to get back health insurance has only resulted in me being told no by nearly everyone. One company decided they’d give me a go if I was willing to pay nearly double out of fear what I had could come back and become cancer.
