Hello, if your friend does have cancer without insurance see if her doctor can recommend a course of action.

I answered a similar question about somebody that does not have insurance so I will paste that answer here to help you.

You need to see if the state that you live in has any available options for medical assistance and if you are eligible for help with food and expense. If not the state then other cancer organizations start with the American Cancer Society.

There are many charities that may offer some help.

Here are some that I got as a resource in the back of one of my many cancer books:

One book that I enjoyed reading was written by Deanna Favre called "Don't Bet Against Me" in it she writes,

"If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with cancer, the following information might prove helpful:"

Deanna Favre HOPE Foundation
http://www.Deanna Farve4Hope.com

Donations and requests for assistance can be sent to the foundations attention at:
1 Willow Bend Dr.
Hattiesburg, MS 39402

Please include your name, address, and telephone number with your donation or request.

Other listings from the book:

National Cancer Institute
(800) 422-6237, http://cancer.gov/

Cancer Information Service
(800) 422-6237, http://cis.nci.nih.gov/

National Research Center for Women and Families
(202) 223-4000, http://www.center4research.org/womenhlth... html#Breast Cancer

Susan G. Komen for the Cure
(972) 855-1600 (headquarters)
(800) I'M AWARE (helpline)

There is this snail that has some sort of chemical. When eaten does something to your body, like control hormones or something..it helped few people that I know..you may want to try it. The meal is very popular in France, is called; "escargots". Take your friend to a french restaurant and each of you can order it. Just one meal cost about $24. plus tip.. or you can take it to go.
Good Luck!

WoW! Was that ever a good answer from Dave. I have cancer and I am saving it for reference!

Oh, and P.S. I think I would love the escargot when I'm in a restaurant but, I'll stick with the treatments my oncologist recommends for my cancer.
