What country is your brother in? If he is a resident of the United States, then it will be very difficult for him to get coverage for any pre-existing condition.
Pre-existing condition exclusions are how for-profit health insurance companies protect themselves against claims from seriously ill people. Persons with a history of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and every other serious medical condition will find their pre-existing condition excluded from any policy offered to them.
This unfair system leaves Americans seeking health insurance with few viable options. The pre-existing condition exclusion travesty is one of the key reasons why universal health insurance is so badly needed in the US.
Your state’s government may offer a "high risk pool" for otherwise uninsurable citizens. Contact your state’s Department of Health to learn more.

I doubt that any company will give him insurance, and if they did, it would be so expensive, he probably couldn’t afford it. I can’t get health insurance because i’m underweight !!!!!!!!!!! Now days, they reject you for anything. They can’t make money off sick people, only the healthy ones who never file a claim. Insurance is a business. They care about making money, not our health. Even if you’re lucky enough to have it, they can choose not to pay for any doctor visits, tests, or surgeries you may need. Your life is in their hands. It’s absolutely horrible. Something needs to change, although it probably never will. I wish your brother the best
