Patients with Lymphoma cancer is there anything other than Chemo therapy to survive longer?
Mid last year my uncle-39 years old, East Asian descent, was diagnosis with lymphoma. I’m not to sure what kind or what stage he is currently in, but I’m thinking NHL (i dont know why) but doctors said it formed from his back and it’s constantly moving around inside his body. But he doesn’t have much to go on any more already due to the cancer has spread everywhere. He has only been treated with chemo therapy. My question is was there anything else or anything that could’ve been done to prevent or at least a way he could have survive longer because I don’t know if I believe his doctors did everything they could have? Esp, if there’s other cures or non-modern medical treatments. And you can’t trust one doctor to know everything.

Lymphoma can be treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, stem cell or bone marrow transplants, or a combination of those. Second line treatment works best for most patients.
Your uncle must press his doctors for more treatment, and more aggressive treatment at that. If the doctors do not listen, I urge him to get another doctor who will. There is much much more than just chemo that can be tried on his disease to try to get results. If he does not have insurance, he can be part of a medicinal trial and see if the newest drugs science is offering will work for him.
Help him to educate himself about his cancer and about the science and treatment options available to him. With support, he can possibly get back into this fight and see better results from better treatment.
Ask the doctors lots of questions about treatment — about everything. If they don’t know, ask them to find out right away. I hope for the best for you and your uncle.
