NO insurance company – including AIG – will "swap" one type of policy for another like that.

You have to reapply for the life insurance. With cancer, you’ll be denied. If you want to increase your limit of coverage, you ALSO have to apply for that, and will be denied.

That’s why accidental death policies are such a ripoff – most people don’t die from accidental deaths.

If you, as a cancer patient, want life insurance, the ONLY way to get it, is with a guaranteed issue policy, like through Mutual of Omaha or Globe Life. The policies are really expensive, the maximum coverage amount is $10,000, and you have to pay in at least two years without dying, in order to collect.

Not at all. The person is covered for accidents so nobody would sell them coverage (except for a graded/guaranteed issue policy) to take on more risk.

The only policy you can purchase with cancer is a funeral plan through a funeral home. You can start a payment today and have coverage in 12-months.

You’ll have a limit of $25,000 which doesn’t all have to be for a funeral. The excess can go to your beneficiary.

    That’s about your only option.
